About the Organization
In 1995, the possibility of a dam construction threatened the Quilombola territories of the Ribeira Valley (São Paulo state). The communities in the region mobilized against the threat, and from this union, EAACONE (Articulation and Advisory Team for Black Communities of the Ribeira Valley) was born. For over 30 years, this organization has worked to defend the rights of Quilombola communities, especially their right to territory.
Organization Objectives
To strengthen EAACONE's institutional communication, making visible the scope and importance of its work with Quilombola communities, thus expanding the organization's recognition, supporting its fundraising, and contributing to the building of strategic partnerships.
