About the organization


Rádio Mixtura emerged in the Capão Redondo neighborhood of São Paulo, out of the need to record and communicate the conversations, stories, experiences and potential that emerge from the favelas, making them resonate and reach more people. The idea began at Espaço Comunidade, where samba circles were held. It had repercussions and was accepted by the locals and the community, which led Jaime "Diko" Lopes, the founder, to make Rádio Mixtura official.
